Incredible India - The answer(s)

Seperti mana yg I bg tau in my previous entry, Click here --->  Incredible India - My Query(ies)
Gateway of India

*my hotel is just 3 minutes walk from Gateway of India*

I had a discussion with Natasha aka Nat at Dome and she has clarified on my queries.

Oleh ittew, I nak share with uols:

Q1 - Kenapa taxi di India tak guna aircond?
A1 - In major cities in India i.e. New Delhi & Mumbai, taxi often refers to two types. 1. Regular Taxi (no aircond and yellow color) and 2. Tp sblm uols naik ke dlm taxi, mk sure uols jangan tanya "how much?". Once asked, for sure driver akan quote price. Uols must str8 away bg tau guna meter. Then the Premier Taxi, you have to call them. Ive tried once, tp sadly the guy is unable to pick me up from town and send me to airport area.

Q2 - Kenapa susah utk carik restaurant?
A2 - Actually restaurant banyak terdapat di Mumbai. Tetapi terletak di lorong2 yg suram. Disebabkan oleh slump area is so big, and hence you dont noticed di sebalik slump ittew mungkin terdapat sebuah high end restaurant. *frankly the food sucks*

Q3 - Kenapa susah utk carik international restaurant i.e. Japanese
A3 - Mmg betul susah utk jumpa international restaurant like Japanese, Korean or even western restaurant kat Mumbai. This is due to penerimaan rakyat dan taraf hidup yg rendah. Based on Nat, hanya terdapat 4 buah restaurant Jepun kat Mumbai and it is costly!

Q4 - Mcdonald/fast food?
A4 - Fast food chain in Mumbai is very small. Masa I kat sana I hanya jumpa satu je Mcdonald kat area Victoria Terminus. Based on Nat, only kids yg pergi makan Mcd *hado macam nada kekwat*

Q5 - Kenapa keretapi tiada pintu?
A5 - Nat sendrik pun tatau kenapa keretapi takde pintu. Tapi apa yg dia dpt fikirkan adalah kerana rakyat mereka yg terlalu ramai. Fact: India's population is 1.2 billion which is the second largest in the world. Therefore, akibat terlalu ramai and keretapi yg sudah lama pintu nya tiada. During peak hours, you dont wanna be at the train station coz you will see people on top of the train. Accident happens daily. Yg patah tangan, mati terus pun ramai. But masih ada keretapi yg ada pintu, tapi harganya mahal sket. But in Delhi dah ada like LRT known as Metro. *Tasha merasa naik Metro kat Delhi*

Q6 - Why they have to stamp our bag?
A6 - Bomb threat in India is very common. Oleh itu, setiap hand carry you'll be given a tag like for example if you're taking MAS, so MAS akan bari bag tag yg korg perlu gantung pada bag. Make sure you take note on this if you're travelling to India. Masa nak pass through checking counter, tag ni akan di stamp kan. Then masa nak naik flight, diorg akan check samaada bag uols ada tag tu and telah di stamp kan. Otherwise, you are be able to naik flight and you kena check balik your bag, dapatkan tag and stamp it. This is to ensure all bag telah di check.

Q7 - Are we afford to have a driver? How much does it cost?
A7 - Oleh kerana ramai sgt yg miskin dia India, yg tidor tepi jalan memang melambak lah.... I terfikir.. adakah fresh grad afford to have a driver? and How much does it cost. Well.... based on Nat, to have a driver will cost you RM500/month :)

Q8 - Maid? How much?
A8 - RM50 - RM100. Maid kat sana berkonsepkan diorg dtg rumah sekali sehari and akan kemas rumah uols sampai bersih. Then cabut ke rumah yg lain pulak.
First stop to the Taj Mahal
I tanya kat Nat, do you think possible to achieve the Green Mumbai, Clean Mumbai 2090?

Nat *with her Indian accent* : I dont think its possible. Even if the Govt put rubbish bins everywhere, there is a possibility the people steal the bins and sell it.

My answer: I rasa ia boleh menjd kenyataan kerana tahap pemikiran manusia berubah mengikut zaman dan generasi and hence India govt letak tahun 2090 utk mencapai negara bersih dan hijau. It starts with awareness and so-on. And mungkin apa yg Musa kata ada benarnya, bunuh rakyat dia dulu. lol... joking!
Final stop before dinner. Failed to catch the sunset
India is not a pleasant place and its not for family neither to visit with your family, unless you wanna see the culture, people and the famous Taj!

P/s: Next entry I akan cerita journey to Taj Mahal ok.
